The integrated terminal now understands the project context and suggests commands based on what the developer is doing. "npm run test" becomes automatic suggestion after editing a test file.

Integrated models

The new version supports Claude Opus 4, GPT-5 and Llama 4 405B as AI backends, allowing the developer to choose the model by task.

According to internal data from Cursor Inc., the tool is used daily by more than 2 million developers. A Stack Overflow survey indicates that 40% of the devs that tested the Cursor adopted him as the main IDE, abandoning VS Code, IntelliJ and Neovim.
